1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Currency Basket (“Currency Basket”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the website currency-basket.com (the “Site”). We built this Site to collect as little personal data as possible — and in most cases, none at all.

2. What we do not collect

The Site is a static website. It does not use:

  • Cookies of any kind (no cookie banner is needed because there is nothing to consent to);
  • Third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts;
  • Social media pixels, embedded widgets, or fingerprinting techniques;
  • Accounts, sign-ups, or forms that store your data on our servers.

All fonts and assets are served from our own domain, so viewing this Site does not send requests to third-party content networks.

3. What we may process

Hosting logs. The Site is delivered through a content delivery network (currently Cloudflare). Like virtually all web infrastructure, the network may process technical data — such as IP address, user-agent string, and requested URLs — transiently for security, abuse prevention, and performance. We do not use this data to identify visitors. Cloudflare’s practices are described in its own privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Email correspondence. If you write to us at contact@currency-basket.com, we receive the personal data you choose to include (your email address, name, and message contents). We use it solely to respond to and follow up on your inquiry.

4. Legal bases

Where data protection laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation apply, we process the data described above on the basis of our legitimate interests (operating a secure, functional website and responding to correspondence you initiate).

5. Retention

Email correspondence is retained only as long as needed to handle the matter it relates to, and to satisfy any legal or accounting obligations, after which it is deleted.

6. Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. We share it only with service providers strictly necessary to operate the Site and our email (such as our hosting and email providers), or where required by law.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@currency-basket.com. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Children

The Site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16.

9. Security

The Site is served exclusively over HTTPS with modern security headers. If you believe you have found a security issue, please see our security policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
